I am a Ph.D candidate in Political Science at Florida State University, specializing in the study of international relations and interstate conflict. My research focuses on how military power shapes international outcomes, as well as how institutions constrain leaders’ behavior. As an instructor, I have taught a variety of classes, including introductions to international relations and comparative politics, and research methods covering introductory statistics and an introduction to programming in R.
As a PhD student and graduate assistant, I have planned, gathered, processed, and analyzed various data projects as a research assistant and for my own data research projects. I am well-versed in R, Excel, Stata, ArcGIS and UCINET, and familiar with SPSS, Python, and some SQL-based database languages.
